HALLOWEEN Benefit with Talisman

ROXBOROUGH, PA — Talisman is playing at Crossroads Coffee Shop at 6156 Ridge Pike in Roxborough, Philadelphia 215-487-1923 for a 30 minute set of brand spanking new music and an old favorite for an Autism Benefit on Saturday 10-31 starting around 8pm (the benefit begins at 7pm).



This show to benefit Autism Living & Working, will star the following acts:
Jarod Costa: 7 p.m.
Mountain Mike & Moondog's Daughter: 7:35 p.m.
Talisman: 8:15 p.m.
The Suitcases: 8:50 p.m.
Ed Young: 9:25 p.m.

The purpose of this gig is to collect money for Autism Living & Working. It is also a networking exercise, keeping songwriters meeting and socializing with each other. DOYLESTOWN, PA — Join lead singer/songwriter/guitarist C with guitarist/songwriter Jim Nichols from Talisman the band for a rare, scaled back performance at Puck Live on the Patio (OUTSIDE VENUE) in historic Doylestown, PA on Saturday afternoon on September 5th from 1 - 4pm. This is an outdoor show and an ALL AGES WELCOME show. So bring the kiddies along and spend a lovely afternoon in downtown Doylestown, PA!

This event will also mark the final performance of the musical piece "The Wicked World's Come of Age" in its entirety marking the end of a 1 year run.

They'll be playing many old favorites (with some wicked new arrangements) and also perform a set of new music that Jim & C have been developing.

This is the last scheduled appearance of Talisman the band as they are taking a hiatus to regroup and focus on finalizing song arrangements for a new recording project. So come out and get a little wicked - one more time...

Lead chick C here. Just wanted ya'll to know that I'll be stopping by the Open Mike at Espresso Yourself on 6441 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19135 on Tuesday, 6/16. It's the first time that I'll be there since January (gosh time flies) so I'm really looking forward to seeing some old friends.

The really exciting part is I'll be showcasing TWO new songs for the first time in public. I've been on a bit of a songwriting frenzy and wrote both of these within the last several days. The first one is called "Temptation" and is an up-beat tune and the REALLY new one (less than 24 hours old) is a haunting ballad called "Roll On", which I can only tell you that I feel awed that it came out of my guitar. Gigs and shows and songs, oh my!

Yeeeee haw Talismaniacs!

We're barely into 2009 and it is already shaping up to be a busy one! Talisman the band is THRILLED to tell you that we are continuing to create & put together new music and are fine-tuning our sound. We are practicing very regularly and are truly becoming (as Jim put it) "a well-oiled machine". There is nothing quite so thrilling as a great song, played well by a group of good friends.

Speaking of new music, you MUST get out to hear our newest song WALK AWAY (I can only say that for a limited amount of time yet since we have a yet-unnamed tune hot on its heels). It rocks so good it will kick your arse to California. WALK AWAY is an absolute showcase for our "sound".
